Natural Remedies for Hepatitis C?
Question:
I believe that you are writing from CA. CA has not been allowing alternative treatments for various diseases. Ozone therapy will help to CURE you of this problem. Call the Linus Pauling Institute in Palo Alto for a refernce of a physician close to you that gives this treatment. Ozone kills the virus. George
Response:
You might call Robert Cathcart III, MD, in Los Altos, Calif. He’s really the expert in using super-high doses of vitamin C. He has used it to treat hepatitis, but I don’t know which form of hepatitis. Sent from Oregon Telcom

I was recently diagnosed with chronic Hepatitis C, which I now know I have had for at least three years, possibly longer. The only approved drug therapies are interferon and the newer virazol, each with the potential for considerable toxicity and not great odds for curing the illness. Does anyone know of any herbal remedies? I have gleaned from anecdotal information that lecithin and milk thistle are each used by some Hep C sufferers, but I don’t know if they really do any good. Thanks, Kim
I was diagnosed with Hep C a few years ago..have had it since about 1988-87. I don’t know of any herbal remedies, but I would advise you not to sell interferon short. I’ve been taking various doses for 4 years. My liver enzime numbers have been normal for about 1.5 years, and the last two times i tested for the virus in my blood it came up negative. However, you are right about the toxicity – it can be pretty shitty at times. But, it works against the virus, so I guess you have to make trade-offs. I guess I didn’t answer what you’re really looking for; just trying to help. –Seth Kramer
