Dentist Update

Question:

I finally got in touch with my daughter to ask questions on Hep c and treatment.  She stated that most people are not aware they have Hep or any other communicable disease.  It is a courtesy to let the Dr. know but not necessary.  In some instances by letting the Dr. know treatment could be different for the patients health.  The dentists are trained to take proper precautions with ALL patients.  She runs tests on her equipment and the test strips are sent to the local university to make sure that all of her equipment is properly sterilized.  Dentist may not charge anything more than what they charge non hep clients.  To do so is opening themselves to a discrimination law suit.  Refusing treatment is a no no as well and you can sue.  This is true in Canada and the USA.
